Performing arts venues use crowdEngage to create a brilliant visitor experience with audience messaging, mobile ticketing and seamless food and drinks ordering. We are at an early stage in our growth, with around 25 clients in the UK and US.

We are looking to hire the first person in a marketing/sales role to spread the word about crowdEngage, develop the brand, and help grow the business as the industry we serve emerges from lockdown.

crowdEngage is a very small company and so we’re looking for someone who is happy wearing multiple hats and getting on with whatever needs to be done. As you’ll see from our barebones Twitter timeline, there isn’t anyone dedicated to marketing at the moment. There’s plenty of scope for development so that we can better reach key decision-makers at prospective clients. While the job has a marketing focus, it will also involve some sales and lead generation. The key metric for this role is the growth of our client base.

Essential

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the theatre and performing arts sector
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Long-form (case studies, blog posts) and social media copywriting skills
  • Happy working collaboratively to come up with ideas
  • Comfortable engaging with the community in order to identify relevant successes and potential case studies

Bonus points

We’re not necessarily expecting anyone to tick all of these boxes, so please don’t let the absence of some or all of these put you off. If you’re keen to learn as you go that’s great too.

  • Experience at a software/web company serving the arts
  • Experience with InDesign or other desktop publishing software
  • Experience working in an arts venue, front of house, box office or in a hospitality role
  • Experience of using Spektrix, Tessitura, or other ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of some HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
